Bio: The New Women and Babies Hospital Project is a $1.8b landmark healthcare project for Western Australia. The largest project of its kind for the state, the project aims to replace the century-old King Edward Memorial Hospital with a new facility on the operational Fiona Stanley Hospital campus, and includes a major expansion at the nearby Osborne Park Hospital
Services: Synergy were engaged for Project Management and Bid Writing services across the Expression of Interest and Request for Tender phases to develop the bid strategy, manage the bid, and deliver final submission documents. Webuild in joint venture with Roberts Co have been announced as the preferred respondent, and have signed a Letter of Intent with the State to move to final negotiations

Services: Synergy were engaged for Construction Advisory and Project Management services to establish project finalisation planning, identify and mitigate key project completion risks and drive the completion of the precinct basement and largest residential tower.

Bio: Situated directly opposite the International Terminal of the Sydney Airport, the project is a transformation of 36ha private and Council-owned land, including the development of a 15ha multi-level industrial and commercial mixed-use estate
Services: Synergy were engaged to provide a Project Director to provide development, project management and bid lead services, managing consulting and contractor teams and deliverables, testing options within the commercial assessment and against the bid brief to achieve a proposed offer for submission to the client.

Waterloo Estate redevelopment, Alexandria NSW

Bio: The project is the first stage of a $6b rebuilding of the rezoned 19ha Waterloo Estate, the south portion (Stage 1) includes the construction of 3,000 social and private homes, while minimising impact to the existing social housing residents. The NSW Land and Housing Corporation are procuring a Renewal Partner to lead a 10-15 year redevelopment of the site.
Services: Synergy were engaged for Project Management and Bid Support services for RFP2, performing bid and design reviews to identify key development focus areas for submission including review of key design metrics and site challenges to assist the development team in preparing an offer. In a recent role, Synergy’s Ben Millard was a key consortium leader for RFP1 submission, progressing to the shortlist phase with one other consortium.

Toormina High School, Toormina NSW

Bio: A remediation project to be overseen by Schools Infrastructure NSW, in the wake of storm damage to Toormina High School after supercell thunderstorms in the NSW Mid North Coast. The remediation will include roof, gutter, cladding and flooring replacement, asbestos removal, all with continued operation of the school and maintained amenity
Services: Synergy were engaged for Bid and Project Management services, kicking off the project, developing a procurement strategy and tendering for trades, preparing schedules and sequencing, and leading the RFT submission

Bio: The O’Connell Precinct is a proposed city shaping northern Sydney CBD commercial precinct comprising a 300m+ main tower under the central Sydney planning strategy.
Services: Synergy were engaged to provide Construction Advisory and Design Management services to support scheme analysis and the planning proposal submission. Synergy were later re-engaged for Project Management services to lead the ECI proposal for enabling works on the 1 O’Connell St tower, developing the enabling works strategy, and reviewing re-development and precinct integration schemes for the asset.

Bio: A $560m redevelopment project for Castle Towers shopping and lifestyle precinct; including 16,000m2 of retail, a 6 star 16,500m2 hybrid mass timber commercial building, a 212 room 17 level hotel with retail tenancies, an entertainment venue, rooftop skybar and pool.
Services: Synergy were engaged to provide Bid Management services for the highly complex integrated project, including construction planning, methodology development,& budgeting, program input & reviews, subcontractor tender management, project risk reviews and non-price schedule response preparation

Bio: The $479m project involves a multi-staged redevelopment of the existing hospital to deliver a new 40,000m2 acute services building, multi deck carpark, several on grade carparks, and refurbishment and repurposing of existing heritage buildings.

Bio: Two development projects, Newmarket Stage 2 is a 116 apartment and 38 luxury terrace residential development. Newmarket Stage 3 is a 176 apartment residential development in the same precinct.
Services: For Stage 2, Synergy were engaged to provide a Construction Management services to lead the project establishment phase, managing early stages of procurement constructability and construction sequencing, and coordinating with client and subcontractors. For Stage 3, Synergy were re-engaged to provide Construction Management services to manage the team through ECI, with a key focus on overall planning, value engineering, programming, and infrastructure and authorities design development.

Bio: 11 Gibbons Street is a $62m, 18 level residential building comprising 162 apartments & ground floor commercial. The project comprised 40 social and 120 affordable housing apartments.
Services: In previous roles, Synergy’s Ben Millard was responsible for the origination, early contractor involvement and successful delivery phase. As an outcome he established the National Social and Affordable Housing framework for the wider business. Synergy’s Pat Murphy was engaged as Senior Project Engineer, leading the project through ECI, Pre-Construction and Construction Establishment.
